scHOB (single-cell Human Organoid Bank) is a comprehensive multi-omic single-cell database consisting of both scRNA-seq and scATAC-seq data on 10 kinds of widely-adopted human organoids spanning approximate 1.4 million cells in 385 samples across 83 distinct protocols, as well as single-cell datasets on the de facto human fetal organs, which serve as a reference for users to compare the similarity between engineered and real cells. In order to facilitate data integration and analysis, we developed two uniform pipelines for the quality control and standard data processing of different kinds of scRNA-seq and scATAC-seq data in human organoids.
Here, we introduce the scHOB data portal, which is the first database dedicating to user-friendly browsing, searching, and visualizing single cell transcriptomic and chromatin accessibility data on human organoids. A knowledgebase that assembles the experimental parameters of published organoid-related experiments was constructed for transparent reporting. scHOB combining this valuable knowledgebase with single-cell data contribute to mine experimental parameters and improve reproducibility. In view of experimental manipulation of organoid cultures raising the exciting prospect of disease modeling and drug screening, scHOB provides functions on analyzing cell-specific gene-drug interactions and performing an enrichment analysis of the druggable genome. All data can be online analyzed and downloaded freely.
